Auto Repair Goes Virtual With “Car Mechanic Simulator 2014”

Car enthusiasts everywhere will soon get a behind-the-scenes look at the life of an auto mechanic thanks to a new simulation game, “Car Mechanic Simulator 2014.” The new game, which is scheduled to be released for PC later this month, allows car-lovers to simulate a career in a car workshop assisting customers, ordering and repairing car parts, and mounting them in various car models.

Although the game’s concept is unique, “Car Mechanic Simulator 2014” is bound to be popular with car enthusiasts across the globe. Ever since “The Fast and the Furious” debuted in 2001, a renewed interest in cars, their components, and their overall optimization has taken hold. That year, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Paul Walker introduced us to the world of nitrous-oxide cars and illegal street racing. And, with the subsequent release of each film in the series, the interest has only grown. Unfortunately, not everyone with a passion for cars has access to a vehicle that they can work on or experiment with. For the younger generation who may not have a lot of hands-on experience working with cars, “Car Mechanic Simulator 2014” could prove an especially valuable tool. Players can get the game for fun and use the experience to decide if auto repair is a field that they’re interested in.

Similar to popular console racing games like “Forza Motorsport” and “Gran Turismo,” “CarMechanic Simulator 2014” allows users to work with hundreds of detailed car parts and accessories. And, in addition to providing an introduction to the components of an automobile, the game also teaches players how all of the components come together to create a functional, reliable car. Players will use the game’s interface to diagnose potential problems and brainstorm ways to solve them. By working on a car’s engine, exhaust and suspension, performing chip tuning and experimenting with different car parts and accessories, players will gain hands-on experience that could only be gained in a physical automobile workshop up until now. “Car Mechanic Simulator 2014″also offers players the use of three different workshops, each varying in size and equipment. And, since the game allows for an unlimited number of random orders and scenarios, players have the potential for an almost endless gaming experience.

Once players spend some time in the shoes of an auto mechanic, they may decide to pursue a career in the auto repair industry. If that’s the case, they may want to look into attending a postsecondary auto technician program to help develop their skills. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, some employers are reporting difficulty finding auto mechanics with sufficient education and experience. Fortunately, graduates of auto mechanic schools could see a healthy job market upon graduation. The BLS projects that employment for auto service technicians and mechanics will increase by 17 percent from 2010 to 2020, as additional automobiles make their way out onto the roadways and more mechanics are needed to service them.
