Automotive Technology Program: WyoTech's automotive technology program can train you to diagnose and repair problems in different types of cars. The program covers four modules: basic engine management systems, drivability diagnostics, drivetrain systems, and chassis. You can also choose to specialize with one of several concentrations such as advanced automotive diagnostics, motorsports chassis fabrication, or trim and upholstery technology.
High-Performance Powertrain Specialization: As one of the concentrations of the Automotive Technology program, the high-performance powertrain specialization can teach you about the high-performance applications of both automotive and diesel modifications.
Diesel Technology Program: Wyotech's Diesel Technology program aims to teach you about trucks, vehicles, and equipment that depend on diesel technology. Course areas include engine management systems and accessories; fluid, power, and electrical systems; engines; and power trains. You can choose to specialize in concentrations like light-duty diesel, applied service management, or an automotive/diesel combination.
Collision Refinishing Technology Program: This program has two modules - collision repair and refinishing - that can teach you to restore and refinish vehicle surfaces. Available concentrations include street rod and custom fabrication, and motorsports chassis fabrication.
Motorcycle Technology Program: This program teaches you how to service and repair today's motorcycles. You'll learn about suspension systems, electrical systems, and brake systems, among other areas. If you wish you can choose to specialize in European, Asian, or Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Marine Specialist Program: This program at WyoTech teaches you how to service and repair boats and watercraft. Courses include vessel power transmission, inboard engine propulsion systems, outboard engine propulsion systems, and marine electronics. You can also choose to study an advanced marine concentration or off-road power concentration.
In addition, WyoTech offers Residential HVAC and Commercial Climate Control; Plumbing; and Electrician diploma programs.
WyoTech has campuses in Sacramento, Fremont, and Long Beach, California. All campuses offer one-on-one lifetime career services to graduates. Campus facilities consist of classrooms as well as lots of shop space for you to practice what you are learning. Shops include modern dynamometers and diagnostic equipment. Some campuses also offer part-time programs in addition to their full-time offerings.
