Porsche Technology Apprenticeship Program

Porsche has developed the reputation for creating and designing some of the world's most desired sports cars. Porsche Cars North America, Inc. has plans to both keep its position as a leader in the industry, and find new qualified technicians, by partnering with Universal Technical Institute (UTI) and creating PTAP, the exclusive Porsche Technology Apprenticeship Program.

Excellent skills, and expertise in all areas, are both things required of Porsche service technicians. In addition to training on Porsche diagnostic equipment and specialty tools, PTAP students receive the most up-to-date factory training in bumper-to-bumper care and repair, as well as receiving technical bulletins. Porsche designed the curriculum, which focuses on electronics and diagnostics. Students are instructed using the latest Porsche designs, including the Boxster lineup, Carrera Coupe, Carrera Convertible and the 911 Twin Turbo. Students who complete the program are qualified to work as Porsche Service Technicians, and are thus eligible to work at Porsche dealerships in North America.

Porsche Pays for Tuition: Porsche Cars North America, Inc. pays for the tuition for PTAP, along with the hiring Porsche dealer, as long as the technician maintains employment status at an Authorized Porsche dealer for at last one year (longer employment agreements may be required by individual dealers).

If you're genuinely interested in beginning a career as an automotive technician for one of the world's best auto manufacturers, getting your foot in the door with PTAP is the first and most important step to take.
